A few years ago, Havaianas Angola acquired a mobility solution that was never implemented and also equipment that was never used.
According to Vasco Vieira, the head of VIACOM, this was how the possibility of developing an application compatible with existing equipment arose, to reduce costs. “At the same time, the company’s growing need for a logistics control solution was essential to the conception and progress of this project,” said Vasco Vieira.
“Havaianas uses an ERP that has been in development for many years and our objective was to develop an application to control shipping and inventories,” adds Vasco Vieira.
“VIACOM has in its team elements that had already developed with Kalipso in other companies and other realities. We took advantage of this know-how to develop this project and included new functionalities. The choice of Kalipso did not raise any questions, either for its flexibility or for the experience that already existed. We easily create a tailored solution or even a marketable and transversal product. It is undoubtedly an unparalleled tool,” says Vasco Vieira.
“It would perhaps be easier to point out disadvantages because there are so few, but the ease of creating all the options within the application and of integrating the application with the ERP, and what this represents for our clients, are undoubtedly the reasons that lead us to choose Kalipso for the development of applications integrated with the ERP,” points out Vasco Vieira of VIACOM.
The fact that it is a low-code platform is also a solid point mentioned by Vasco Vieira since any member of his technical team can provide application support without having advanced programming knowledge.
“The possibilities for development are so broad that we haven’t embraced even a tenth of all that we can do with Kalipso, which makes it difficult to suggest any improvements. We can only hope that they continue the excellent work they have been doing, with all the technical rigor and professionalism that is the hallmark of Sysdev,” guarantee the responsible.
