Using an app development tool traditionally focused on B2B solutions, the team at iCenter delved into uncharted territory, leveraging Kalipso Studio’s capabilities to bring their vision to life.

According to César Carnicero from iCenter, “The idea for mibi sparked during a summer vacation conversation with friends, highlighting dissatisfaction with existing dating apps and a perceived market gap. Inspired by the potential of GPS location and chat functionality possible to have in Kalipso Studio, the team set out to create a unique social networking experience.
Cesar Carnicero explains, “Navigating the transition from B2B to consumer-facing applications presented challenges, but Kalipso Studio’s low-code platform proved instrumental in overcoming them.” He adds, “While tailored solutions were required for specific features like chat windows, overall, Kalipso’s support and simplicity facilitated development.”
“The ease of receiving, displaying, and processing information from an external cloud-based database was crucial for mibi’s development,” says Carnicero. He adds, “Kalipso Studio’s ability to synchronize external information with the device’s database seamlessly, along with the simplicity and effectiveness of file transfer capabilities were essential.”
Carnicero estimates, “mibi’s initial version took approximately five months of part-time development, highlighting the efficiency and ease of development afforded by Kalipso Studio.” He emphasizes, “The platform’s intuitive nature allowed for rapid progress, potentially saving significant development time.”
While awaiting feedback on mibi’s development from Kalipso Studio, Carnicero commends, “The platform’s robust support and training resources were exceptional”, underscoring the positive experience iCenter had throughout the development process.
